The Czech Phil Foundation was jointly established in August 2023 by music lovers and friends of the Czech Philharmonic, Hana Dvořáková, Jiří Hašek, and Pavel Kysilka. Inspired by the longstanding tradition of Czech classical music and aware of the importance of music for education and cultivation of Czech society, as well as the potential of the Czech Philharmonic to be a first-class ambassador of Czech culture abroad, the founders decided—following the example of the world's best orchestras and philanthropic traditions—to bring to life a foundation as a permanent institution that will provide long-term maximum support in the following areas:
