Establish a
donor-advised fund

An excellent way to create a long-term link of your name with supporting exceptional musicians and musical tradition is to establish your own
donor-advised fund. We are happy to take care of
all the necessary arrangements and advise you on
all of the options. A donor fund under the Czech Philharmonic Foundation is a simple and flexible
way to fulfill your philanthropic goals without unnecessary administration.

What is a donor-advised
fund

Donor-advised funds are a modern form of philanthropy that
is gaining increasing popularity around the world.

  • They make it possible to support public-benefit activities
in a long-term and targeted way.

  • They offer minimal administrative burden compared to establishing one’s own foundation or endowment fund.

How it works

The fund is established under the administration of a
public-benefit organization — in our case, the Czech
Philharmonic Foundation — which manages the fund and
handles all related organizational matters.

A fund can be created at the initiative of:

  • an individual,

  • a family,

  • a group of friends,

  • a company.

If the fund is supported solely by its founder, it is considered a
closed fund. If additional donors contribute, it becomes an
open fund.

A donor-advised fund already making a difference

One example of a donor-advised fund already
managed by the Czech Philharmonic Foundation
is the Jiří Bělohlávek Donor-Advised Fund.

"My husband met kind souls along his path who supported him at the start of his career, and he wanted to pass on that kindness."

— Anna Fejérová, wife of Jiří Bělohlávek
