Legacy gift

A charitable legacy gift, or bequest, is a unique form of
support that allows you to contribute to the values you care
about even after your passing.

Legacy gifts can help strengthen the Czech Philharmonic’s position among the world’s leading orchestras, represent the Czech Republic abroad, support the development of young talents, and enable projects that make classical music more accessible and foster music education across generations.

Through a charitable
bequest, you may leave:

  • financial assets or a portion of funds in your account,

  • securities and shares,

  • movable or immovable property,

  • other rights and assets that can be legally transferred.

Tom Schrecker: Good
should be repaid with good

One of the donors who left a charitable bequest to the Czech
Philharmonic in his will was Tom Schrecker — a world
traveler, entrepreneur, philanthropist, one of Winton’s
Children, and a close friend of Chief Conductor Jiří
Bělohlávek and his family.

He was a passionate attendee of classical music concerts
and the spiritual founder of the Czech Philharmonic’s
Dynamic Club for Donors’ .

His philanthropic work focused primarily on supporting
classical music and education. His gift is an extraordinary
expression of trust in our mission and at the same time, a
deeply human gesture.

You can read more about this remarkable man in the Czech
Philharmonic’s magazine Ladírna.

"Life is short — enjoy it, and if you can, do something for others."

— Tom Schrecker
